🎬 See it in action
A rugged multi-parameter spectrophotometric flow-through sensor system with integrated pH, conductivity, ORP, dissolved oxygen and temperature sensors.
Plug & play out of the box.
No subscriptions, no cloud dependency, no vendor lock-in.

💧 Own your water data
A fully configured, plug-and-play inline monitoring system built for drinking water, wastewater, and surface water research. Includes robust PVC connectors, open CSV data logging, and optional secure EU cloud upload with REST API.
- Inline flow-through monitoring with 32 mm PVC.
- Timestamped CSV data – full transparency.
- Linux Debian-based logger, local or cloud.
- Compact form factor: 710 × 210 × 110 mm, 15 W low-power operation.

✨ Why this beats black-box sensors
We deliver fully configured inline monitoring systems with real-time data and full transparency.
- Raw data, no hidden interpretation algorithms.
- Open CSV data, ready for any analysis pipeline.
- Rugged hardware with quartz and PMMA optical paths, robust PVC housing.
- Automatic pulsed-flow cleaning every 2–3 weeks.
- Free optional REST API for real-time data access from an EU-based cloud server.
⚙️ Built for utilities, researchers and industry
- Utilities: optimize wastewater treatment and reduce aeration/chemical costs by 5–10%.
- Researchers: full access to raw, unprocessed data for advanced modeling and sensor fusion.
- Industry: monitor and control processes with real-time quality data.
📈 Cost-effective and transparent
Competing systems often hide algorithms and force you into closed service models. EcoSniffer is different:
- Free Debian logging software included.
- Free optional EU-based cloud storage (opt-in, no lock-in).
- Calibration software included, customers can perform their own calibration without vendor dependence.
- Transparent pricing, you own the hardware and the data.
💶 Turnkey system (incl. 2 years support): €12,000 excl. VAT
💶 Data-as-a-Service option: €5,000 / year excl. VAT
Typical ROI: 3–6 months for turnkey, 1–3 months for DaaS contracts.
📦 Includes Everything You Need
Your system comes with:
- Spectrophotometric transmission sensors measuring at 255 nm, 280 nm, 400 nm, 461 nm, 520 nm, 640 nm.
- Additional sensors: pH (±0.002), EC (0.07–500,000 μS/cm, ±2%), ORP (±1 mV), DO (±0.05 mg/L), Temp (±0.1°C).
- Linux Debian 12 Desktop logger (LAN/Wi-Fi, local CSV, optional cloud).
- Full documentation and onboarding support.
- Recovery image to restore your environment in minutes.
- Optional add-ons: nitrate (235 nm) and algae fluorescence (461 & 590 nm excitation, full spectrum measurement) sensors.
Plug it in, connect to flow, and start logging immediately.
🔬 Proven in research
EcoSniffer has been commercially deployed since early 2024:
- Validated at Wetsus in PhD and EU projects.
- Field study on ~25 Dutch dairy farms: runoff monitoring.
- Deployed in decentralized wastewater optimization and surface water algae monitoring projects.
- Ongoing validation under the EU SPOWAR Interreg program (2025).
🧠 Beyond hardware: AI & optimization expertise
Alongside EcoSniffer, we offer our expertise in AI, machine learning, and process optimization for municipal wastewater treatment plants, drinking water production, and industrial wastewater processes.
- Project-based collaboration, tailored to your process.
- Open-source software solutions – you own the code after the project.
- No hidden licensing, no lock-in.
- Proven experience in modeling, sensor fusion, and process control.
Whether you want to optimize aeration, reduce energy costs, or improve compliance monitoring, we combine EcoSniffer’s transparent data with advanced open-source tools to deliver measurable improvements.

❤️ Fair is fair
We run open source on Debian. This system includes preinstalled in-house developed open-source components and validated sensors.
Starting from 1 August 2025, our commercial product launch, 1% of our EcoSniffer's sales go to the Debian community.
About us
Aquacolor Sensors B.V. was founded in 2015 by Mateo Mayer and Frank Akkerman.
We develop and produce robust sensor solutions for process optimization in harsh environments. We embrace the open source community and actively contribute.
Mateo develops sensor hardware and software. Frank is responsible for production.
We design all our products from scratch, including housing, software and electronics. We handle CE compliance in-house, outsource selected parts for production, and always assemble and final-test every product ourselves. No compromise.
